Many works are collected in Italy, France, Spain, Belgium and USA. Realisation of environmental works in Italy, in the prestigious Palladian Villa Maser in 2019 and on the Torcello’s Island in 2023.
Among the reproduced works, many have been inspired by the Persephone myth.
Her legend contains all the elements that have guided the artist's inspiration for decades.
She grew up in Sicily (beloved island that hosted a Stefani’s beautiful thematic exhibition) victim of the violence of a male divinity, condemned but indomitable, accomplice to the inflexibility of Demeter, her mother, divinity of the underworld and bearer of Spring, According to the artist, she is a timeless metaphor of the female condition.
The symbolism expressed in the oval Persephone work is relevant where the eye/soul is made up of a stone that contains another one collected on the shore of a sea "elsewhere" fixed on a canvas stretched on an ovaloid support form in which the artist perceives the complexity of the laws of nature.
The Stefani NEW GALLERY confirms the painter's remoteness from artistic conventions without however falling into the contradictions of nonconformism; at the same time, it enhances his ability in the use of heterogeneous and multiform materials and supports.

A RELATIVELY INCONSPICUOUS STAR
Thuban with Bayer designation Alpha Draconis or α Draconis, is a binary star system in the northern constallation of Draco. A relatively inconspicuous star in the night sky of the Northern Hemisphere, it is historically significant as having been the north pole star from the 4th to 2nd millennium BC.
The project could ideally integrate the spaces of an Astrophysics Space and/or Science Observatory, the auditorium of Physics, Astronomy or Science faculty, a telescope enterprise reception hall or astronomical equipment conference room etc.
Alpha Draconis seems like a variable star, the 5 canvases dimensions that constitute the Paolo Stefani’s project could be customised to fit chosen location.
